About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how AniRipple handles information when you use our mobile application, public website, authentication services, wallpaper catalog, community submission tools, and related services (together, the “Service”).
AniRipple is an anime-focused library for discovering, saving, downloading, and submitting static and live wallpapers. This policy applies whether you browse with an automatically created guest profile or register an account.
Information we collect
We collect the information needed to operate accounts, remember your library, deliver private media, review community uploads, protect the Service, and respond to reports.
- Account information. Your name, email address, profile image, account role, verification state, and linked sign-in provider. Credential passwords are processed as protected password hashes; we do not store a readable copy of your password.
- Guest profiles. The app may automatically create a private anonymous account so likes, favorites, downloads, and reports can work before you register. This includes a service-generated identifier and internal guest email address.
- Security and session data. Session identifiers and expiry, IP address, user-agent information, request identifiers, rate-limit records, and records of sensitive administrative actions.
- Activity. Wallpapers you like, favorite, or download; your private saved library and download history; collections; reports and supporting details; and submission or moderation status.
- Creator submissions. Titles, descriptions, tags, artist credit, source links, license notes, rights attestations, and the image, GIF, or video files you deliberately upload for review.
- Copyright and rights-holder reports. If you submit a copyright or other rights report, we collect the contact information, claimed authority, asset links, supporting details, and communications you provide so we can review and act on the report.
- Device access. With your permission, AniRipple accesses selected photos or videos so you can upload or save wallpaper media. Your language, theme, and other interface preferences may remain locally on your device.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure the Service, authenticate users, preserve guest and registered libraries, deliver signed wallpaper downloads, process uploads, display creator credit, moderate content, investigate reports, enforce our rules, prevent abuse, maintain reliable counters, and communicate about account or service matters.
We may use aggregated catalog activity, such as total likes, favorites, and downloads, to sort content and understand publishing health. AniRipple’s current implementation does not include third-party advertising or a third-party behavioral analytics SDK.
Why we process it
Depending on where you live, our reasons for processing may include performing our agreement with you, acting on your consent (including device permissions), protecting our legitimate interests in operating a safe and reliable catalog, and meeting legal obligations. You can withdraw a device permission through your system settings, although the related feature may stop working.
Storage and retention
Account and activity records are generally kept while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Sessions and upload authorizations expire. Incomplete, failed, or orphaned uploads are scheduled for cleanup. Copyright reports, moderation decisions, and security records may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to preserve catalog integrity, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or satisfy legal requirements.
Media you save to Photos or local device storage is controlled by you and your device platform. Deleting AniRipple account data does not remove a wallpaper already saved on your device.
Your choices and rights
You can manage device permissions in system settings and can sign out at any time. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to certain processing.
Every guest or registered profile can initiate permanent account deletion inside the AniRipple app. Deletion removes the Better Auth identity, linked provider and session data, likes, favorites, download history, reports, collections, submissions, and user-uploaded private R2 media. Shared catalog counters are repaired as part of that process. Some information may be retained only where law requires it or where necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
How we protect information
We use safeguards designed for the nature of the Service, including secure sessions, restricted administrative roles, private original-media storage, short-lived and scoped upload and download links, request throttling, validation, moderation records, and encrypted network transport in deployed environments. No system can guarantee absolute security, so please use a unique password and keep your device and sign-in accounts protected.
Children’s privacy
AniRipple is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required to consent to online services where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child who cannot lawfully use the Service. If you believe a child has provided information improperly, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
International processing
AniRipple and its infrastructure providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Privacy laws in those locations may differ. Where required, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms and safeguards appropriate to the information involved.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as AniRipple develops or legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date on this page and provide additional notice in the Service when a change is material. Your continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy, where permitted by law.

For privacy questions or requests, use the AniRipple support contact shown in the app’s App Store or Google Play listing. Please do not include passwords, authentication tokens, or other unnecessary sensitive information in your request.
